The event will feature a review of the following health care topics:
- Jim Hammon: The Phoenix and Statewide market-share contest/struggle (Banner vs Dignity Health, Abrazo, and all comers) and a discussion of the 1970s “certificate of need approach” to controlling construction of competing physical facilities. (30 minutes)
- Justin Bayless and Ted Williams: The field of Behavioral Health and our State’s very limited services and facilities will be reviewed. (30 minutes)
- Javier Favela: The current use of Telemedecine and the opportunities which it presents to improve our rural health facilities will be explained. (15 minutes)
