newspaper Discussion with Mr. Phil Boas of the Arizona Republic

A presentation about the Republic's choice to endorse a Democrat for President and the emergence of the role of the press in this new Presidency

As readers of the press in Arizona know, the Arizona Republic (in this last presidential election cycle) endorsed a Democrat for President which it has never done before.  The Arizona Republic received letters that were critical of its position.  Since President Trump's assumption of the presidency, new emphasis on the role of the press in national politics has emerged in our system of checks and balances.

Accordingly, on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 7 PM to 8:15 PM, the Harvard Club of Phoenix is pleased to host Mr. Phil Boas, Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Pages at the Arizona Republic, who will speak on the emergence of the role of the press.
