A presentation about the Republic's choice to endorse a Democrat for President and the emergence of the role of the press in this new Presidency
As readers of the press in Arizona know, the Arizona Republic (in this last presidential election cycle) endorsed a Democrat for President which it has never done before. The Arizona Republic received letters that were critical of its position. Since President Trump's assumption of the presidency, new emphasis on the role of the press in national politics has emerged in our system of checks and balances.
Accordingly, on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 7 PM to 8:15 PM, the Harvard Club of Phoenix is pleased to host Mr. Phil Boas, Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Pages at the Arizona Republic, who will speak on the emergence of the role of the press.
Attendance is free. Dr. Bishara Bahbah, from Bahbah Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services, has arranged the locale for the evening at:
4800 N Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, 85251
In the UBS Theater at Level G2
(This is the building in which the Roaring Fork Restaurant is located. Follow the Harvard signs)
You will hear a 50-minute concise presentation, followed by 20 minutes of questions and thoughtful discussion.
