Harvard Professor Ali Asani and the Harvard Club of Phoenix Annual Dinner
Profesor Ali Asani was born in Nairobi, Kenya and is Professor of Indo-Muslim and Islamic Religion and Cultures at Harvard University. He has won innumerable awards for his contributions to improving intercultural and race relations through a better understanding of Islam. His presentation will provide a framework within which to understand the complex ways in which the interpretations of Islam's scripture, the Quran, informs the contexts in which Muslims live.
He will speak 30 to 40 minutes followed by 10 to 15 minutes of Q&A.
