Arizona Cardinal Larry Fitzgerald to Make Conducting Debut!

Come see Harvard Alum Sarah Hicks join Larry Fitzgerald as guest conductors at Symphony Hall.

An Opening Night like you have never seen before! The Phoenix Symphony kicks off its 2012/13 season with special guest Larry Fitzgerald.  The Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver will conduct the National Anthem on September 20, 2012 at Symphony Hall.

Arizona's sports fans are familiar with six-time Pro-Bowl veteran Fitzgerald as he faces 11 of the toughest defenders in the league. Now, in a once-in–a-lifetime event, the sports and musical worlds collide as Larry Fitzgerald faces 66 of Arizona's finest musicians and leads them in the Star Spangled Banner.

Following Fitzgerald's guest appearance on the podium, Opening Night continues and The Phoenix Symphony is joined by guest conductor Sarah Hicks and award winning violinist Elena Urioste in a dynamic program that includes the ever popular symphonic dances from West Side Story, the Overture to Candide and Beethoven's Violin Concerto.
