Description
The Harvard Club of Phoenix's flagship event: The Annual Dinner! This year the dinner will be held at the Phoenix Country Club and we will be joined Dr. Brian Hoffman of the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Hoffman will give us a talk entitled "General Guide to Thinking about Prescription Drugs for the Intelligent Patient".
Patrons of the annual dinner will have a choice of three entrees (you will make your choice as you buy your tickets for the event):
- Cornish Game Hen with Apricot and Dried Cherry Couscous or Traditional Sage Stuffing
- Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Bearmaise Sauce
- Grilled Chili Glazed Atlantic Salmon with Lime Mango
Brian B. Hoffman, MD, graduated in Medicine from McGill University. After completing residency training in Medicine and in Clinical Pharmacology he undertook a research fellowship at Duke University. He joined the faculty at Stanford University in 1981, where he went on to hold numerous leadership posts. He moved to Boston in 2003 and served as Chief of Medicine at VA Boston Health Care System from 2004 to 2008. Dr. Hoffman is currently a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Hoffman is an active clinician and teacher of bedside medicine. In addition to his research publications, he has edited leading textbooks in both clinical pharmacology and in pharmacology.
