Come join us for a field trip to thoroughbred race-horse track, Turf Paradise, for an eventful luncheon, discussion on the business of running the 3rd largest sports attraction in the state, and the mechanics of handicapping.

Having opened its doors on January 7, 1956, Turf Paradise made Valley history as the first organized professional sports franchise in Arizona.  Turf Paradise has had only 5 owners in 50+ years of operation, and is currently owned by businessman Jerry Simms. During the operational season, 2200 horses call Turf Paradise their home.  It boasts one of the longest seasons of Thoroughbred racing in the Country, and its races show in 2000 locations in 40 different Countries.  Live racing operates from October through May, generally 5 days a week, Friday through Tuesday.

After our luncheon/discussion, the group is invited to spend the remainder of the day applying the skills learned on the  9 races held at Turf Paradise and/or other tracks via their Off Track Betting service.  The final race usually concludes by 5pm.

The luncheon cost provides Track admission, seat charge, a Program named race, and a How To Wager Guide.  Parking is free or a $5 valet service is available.
